Catholic Schools Week- Day 2- Vocations!

Updated: Jan 30

Day two started off with weekly Mass, and was followed by hat day and information about vocations!

What is a vocation?

Today, our students explored this important question with two special visitors: Sister Jacinta, a religious sister, and Father Morin, a diocesan priest. They shared their inspiring journeys of saying “yes” to God’s call to live a religious life.

Students were curious and engaged, asking thoughtful questions like:

• When did you enter seminary?

• What do you do every day?

• Why do you wear a veil?

Our guests also shared that a vocation isn’t just about becoming a priest or religious sister—it can also include marriage, single life, or other ways God calls us to serve Him. A vocation is more than a career or life path; it’s a response to God’s unique call for each of us to live a life of love and purpose.

We are grateful for the opportunity to help our students understand that vocations are about listening to God’s voice and embracing the life He calls us to with joy and faith.
