Service is such an important part of Catholic schools. We believe that the service projects students have participated in through St. John's over the years have played a big role in shaping his desire to give back to others.
Over the past two months, Camden has dedicated more than 80 hours to a lemonade stand he built with his dad and Pop-Pop. To date, he has raised over $2,700 for @@missionworkingdogs, a nonprofit that provides service dogs to veterans. His efforts will go toward sponsoring a puppy for a veteran, which Camden will have the honor of naming.
Tomorrow, on Saturday, September 28th, Camden will present Christy Gardner, an Army veteran and the organization's president and founder, with the funds he has raised at the start of the Moxie Memorial 5K race. He will also be running in the event. We are incredibly proud of his dedication and hard work in supporting veterans in our community, helping them live fuller lives. Great job, Camden!
